This book is about:
"Rocky runs away with his friend, Stubb, because Rocky's Dad tells him that he can't keep his wolf cub, Alf, anymore.

They go into the hills and Alf disappears into the woods. Rocky and Stubb start to eat their food while they wait for Alf. Alf comes back eventually and leads them to a dark cave. They fall asleep.

Alf brings a hare for them to eat.

A bear comes and growls at them. Rocky's Dad rescues them by throwing a spear at the bear. They all go home.
