Our 2021 Round Up!

It’s time for our 2021 Round Up – I know, we can’t believe it’s almost 2022 either!

2021 has certainly had its ups and downs, Covid has continued to have an impact on children’s learning with a third lockdown, reading has taken a particular hit – but we have been so pleased to see so many of our customers continue to enjoy their memberships and receive a steady supply of reading scheme books at home!

We’re feeling nostalgic in the office, looking back to some of our highlights of 2021:

Local book giveaway – We donated thousands of our preloved reading scheme books to children in our local community during lockdown #3 in February. We loved seeing our books given a new lease of life and were inspired to donate more throughout the year to schools and organisations who really needed them!

New faces at Reading Chest – It has been so wonderful to welcome Jane to our team, along with her gorgeous labradoodle Peggy!

New look Reading Chest - It has been a long time coming but we are now mobile friendly! We have spent the year updating our website and we are so excited that most of our new pages are now live – from the new year it will be easier for both new and existing customers to access their memberships on the go!

As we head towards Christmas, life becomes increasingly busy with shopping, nativity plays and Christmas markets – but it’s so important to keep little ones reading at home over the festive season and it couldn’t be easier with Reading Chest, just 10 minutes a day can make all the difference when children head back into the classroom in January.

We would like to say a huge thank you to each of you, the support from our members throughout this year has been amazing. As we head in to 2022 let’s hope children can continue learning together in schools – and we will be here to supply clean, safe reading scheme books to keep you and your children reading together at home.
