The Cobsdown Cat Case

Reviewed by
Ethan D, aged 6

This is what happens
"The class had a new boy called Tom Bradley. He looked out of the class window, he had no friends and he never got into trouble.

Josh's cat went missing and so did Mrs. Bailey's and Emily Pattison's.

Josh, Ben and David decided to get some clues about why the cats were going missing. They went to Tom Bradley's house together, because Mrs. Bradley had mentioned that the police had been with Tom.

At Tom's house they saw a cat with it's tail missing and it was dead. They heard a noise and two dogs came out. David fell over as they were trying to escape.

David's Dad told him off for being in somebody else's garden. David later found out that Tom Bradley's Mum had been in a car crash and the police had brought him home.

Mrs. Bailey's cat had died of old age, Emily had no cat and made up the story because she had nothing to say about her weekend and Josh's cat had been in the neighbour's garage by mistake. The cat in Tom Bradley's shed had been a toy which his dog had chewed of the tail.

David wrote the Cobsdown Cat Case story in his notebook. Josh and Ben went to play football with Tom Bradley. "

The main characters are
"Tom Bradley, Josh, Ben and David. "

My favourite part of the book is
"When the dogs came and found Josh, Ben and David and they tried to escape. "

I would also like to say
"It was sad when David had his accident."

"The old wishing well did not see or hear very well because moss covered his ears and cobwebs covered his eyes. So he gave wrong wishes when people wished for things. "

The main characters are
"Shy Sarah, Greedy Gus, Vain Jane, Grab-a-lot, Rob-a-lot and the old wishing well. "

My favourite part of the book is
"When the wishing well turned into a young man and an old stone house, covered with moss and had cobwebs covering the windows. "

I would also like to say
"That I would like to meet a funny old wishing well too. "
